Mission
Reading can decrease stress, increase empathy, educate, entertain, be an escape, and help with communication and concentration.
Prisoners have little access to reading materials, especially during lock-downs and in particular since COVID. The prison system inflates the cost of every necessity. Books can only be sent through a distributor and the rates are high.
We are happy to be considered a book distributor to get people books while they are locked up. We are a mutual aid organization—our mission is simple and all funds go to books and postage.
